Social, Leisure and Respite Programs
Saturday Fun Day
Saturday Fun Day Program is an out of home, recreational, day respite program for families of individuals ranging in age from 4 to 25, who have a diagnosis of an intellectual disability, Autism or a Pervasive Developmental Disorder. SaturdayFunDay.html
Adventure Club
This program is located in the northwest/Tomball area and offers community based activities to individuals, ages 15 and older, with developmental disabilities including autism, mental retardation and PDD. Activities are age appropriate and include bowling, sporting events, theater, shopping excursions, and outings to museums and other places of interest. More information on Adventure Club
Monthly Dance
A monthly dance for individuals,15 years and older, with developmental disabilities, is held the first Friday of every month at the centrally located Metropolitan Multi-Service Center. Live DJ services and a small bottle of water are provided at each dance. More information on Monthly Dances
Adult Weekend Respite
This program is an overnight, out-of-home, weekend respite program for individuals 21 and up who have mental retardation, autism or a pervasive developmental disorder. The program occurs twice per month, on Friday through Sunday. A maximum of 10 consumers attend each respite session along with qualified disability professionals, providing a 2:1 consumer/staff ratio. Three overnight staff are present each night.
Daytime activities for the consumers include sporting and musical events, visits to restaurants, theme parks, shopping excursions, movies and other community wide events. More information on Adult Weekend Respite

Overnight Summer Vacations
The Arc offers five-day, four-night vacations for individuals ages 18 and older during the months of June and July.Day Camp Spring Branch

This program is held in June for 2 one-week sessions for individuals ages 14+. Day campers will attend activities in Brenham and Galveston as well as key areas surrounding Houston.Day Camp Kingwood

Camp Champions is a five-day residential camp for individuals, ages 10-30, with or without developmental disabilities (an inclusion camp). Camp Champions serves over 250 campers, staff and volunteers. The camp is located in Burton, TX at the Camp for All site and activities include horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, paintball, archery, swimming
